No really, this is a thing that is happening. Next has posted a call for selfies (which, by the way, worst word ever) on their Twitter, Instagram, and blog. All people have to do is send their snap to @nextmodelmgmt using the hashtag #NEXTFACEOFSUNDOWNUK.

The competition is open to men and women aged 18-23 who are of "model height" (that's 6'and up for dudes, 5'8 and up for ladies). Next will then pick one boy and one girl winner, who they will then bring to Sundown Festival to give the VIP treatment--and potentially become a model.

We have so, so many questions: What if the winner isn't model height? How would Next even know? What if you choose the wrong filter? What if you cheat by hiring a professional photographer and just call it a selfie (which is totally happening)? Why is Next looking for models via selfies?

Well, that last one at least has been answered. Read the prize package carefully--"An introduction to top model agency NEXT--with the chance to sign with us globally!" (Emphasis mine.)

So not a guaranteed contract--but still, not a bad shot. Think Kate Moss would have been discovered via #selfie?
