Anna Wintour Helicoptered From Long Island to Chelsea to Party With Roger Federer

For most people, the commute from Long Island to New York's Chelsea Piers is an hour-long, hassle-free drive down I-495 West, maybe a little Daft Punk on the radio, some pretzel chips for snacking. One could even do a train-to-subway transfer if necessary. But Anna Wintour is not most people.

According to the New York Post, Vogue's leading lady made the trip via helicopter to attend Moët & Chandon's 270th anniversary celebration in Downtown Manhattan Tuesday night. It seems a stretch limo just wouldn't suffice. Post landing (which we can only dream involved a Nixon-inspired peace sign salute), the party's "civilian guests" were instructed to clear the way for Wintour's grand VIP entrance. Ugh, peasants.

If the whole scenario sounds a bit OTT--you've failed to consider one fairly significant detail: Moët & Chandon’s global brand ambassador, a certain Roger Federer, was also in attendance. And you know how Anna Wintour feels about tennis. Based off the loved-up looking snaps of Wintour and R-Fed (whose wife was also at the fete, boooo), we wouldn't be surprised if the editrix rented that 'copter just to impress. The things we do for (tennis pun!) love, eh?
