For the first time in its decade of existence, the annual Style Awards, honoring the brightest stars in fashion and entertainment, will be aired on television, according to WWD.
Hosted by ex-The Simple Life and ex-Fashion Star star Nicole Richie, the ceremony is set to premiere on CNN on Saturday, September 14 at 7pm–a full 10 days after it’s taped this coming Wednesday at Lincoln Center. The fashion industry and its obsession with post-production, eh?
Honorees include several big names that even regular viewers of CNN might recognize: Zac Posen, Kate Upton, New York Giants frower Victor Cruz, Frédéric Fekkai, Patrick Demarchelier, Rachel Zoe, John Varvatos, Hunger Games costume designer Trish Summerville, and Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant. Categories include Designer of the Year, Model of the Year, Most Stylish Athlete of the Year, Hairstylist of the Year, Costume Designer of the Year — Film, Costume Designer of the Year — TV, Celebrity Stylist of the Year, Menswear Designer of the Year, and Most Visible Brand–we’re sure you can connect the dots on most of those.
Elle‘s Joe Zee (who’s all about the small screen recently) will be on red carpet duty, and Ariana Grande is slated to perform. Will you be tuning in?
