Naeem Khan was inspired by the Latin world’s rich traditions this season. He began his show with delicate white dresses with floral Chantilly lace, then added color and energy with red floral embroidered peasant dresses and blouses in organza. Then there were flowing caftans and transparent gowns, also embroidered with bold flowers in red and white. One standout was a fully beaded tropical print, seen on a dress and a top. It looked like a sparkling Douanier Rousseau painting. More beads and sparkle covered the obligatory full-length gowns in white, salmon pink and cream. A black dress was met with a gasp--as was the final bridal dress, a beautiful cloud of tulle embroidered with delicate flowers.
