Rag & Bone Spring 2014: A '90s Redux for the Millenial Crowd

The '90s redux trend is still going strong. At Rag & Bone's spring 2014 show, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright reached back into our late '90s closets to put their own spin on cropped halter tops, iridescent halter slip dresses, and overalls (not going anywhere, sorry).

These pieces are sure to be a hit with the Nasty Gal-lovin', hard partying 20-something crowd but, truthfully, these aren't the '90s styles I'm keen to reintroduce to my wardrobe--the required ab work just isn't worth it.

What I did love was the sporty-cool take on tennis: sexy sheer polo tees with leather kilts, and oversized ribbed plunging v-neck sweaters with striped detailing on the wrists and neckline. My favorite piece from this collection was the simple longish blazer/coat which was paired with several looks. Suddenly, a cropped halter top doesn't look so bad when it's got a clean elegant "Dustbowl coat" (as it was called in the liner notes) worn over it.
