Turns out at least one of the party girls Marc Jacobs cast to walk in his spring show was even more hard partying than we knew.
Sky Ferreira, the MySpace-made model/singer who's become a staple on the NYC soiree circuit, was arrested in the wee hours of Saturday morning for varying degrees of unlawfulness, including possession of heroin and ecstasy, and resisting arrest. Also arrested was Ferreira's boyfriend, Saint Laurent model and DIIV frontman Zachary Cole Smith.
According to Daily Freeman (via Pitchfork), the couple's unregistered truck was pulled over by police in upstate New York after having incurred "several vehicle and traffic infractions"--including sporting stolen license plates. Upon further inspection, Smith was found to be in possession of 42 decks of heroin; Ferreira, ecstasy. (The arrest resist came later.) "She physically fought the officers,” Police Chief Joseph Sinagra told Page Six. The pair was taken into custody and released on $1,500 bail--and later that same day, DIIV played a concert in Hudson, New York. Doesn't get more rock 'n' roll than that, we guess.
But despite what seems to be fairly incriminating evidence, Smith took to Twitter to denounce the reports, saying, "What you’re reading is a police blotter, not the outcome of a court case. These cops wanted to fuck us, and they did. Sky did nothing wrong." We'll see whether the judge agrees with that when Smith and Ferreira appear in court on Monday.
