Versace Chain Gang

Miley's not the only teen starlet who got an image revamp this year--emphasis on the vamp. Selena Gomez appeared in the front row looking pretty vampy herself in super dark lipstick and a pretty revealing, skintight black Versace number. The Spring Breakers star has been wearing a lot of the brand on the red carpet lately thereby giving herself a more grown up, sexy, badass image update. Because that's what Versace is. And Donatella gave us more of it for spring, this time with a bit of a rock chick/biker influence.

Because that's what Versace is. And Donatella gave us more of it for spring, this time with a bit of a rock chick/biker influence. On the dressier end, chains were draped from body-hugging dresses in white, black, and pastels, and bra tops paired with skin-tight pencil skirts and leather jackets. On the more casual end, a pair of leather shorts paired with a perfectly loose-fitting muscle tee looked extremely cool. There was quite a bit of denim, paired with super tight low-slung pants. But a few looks felt a bit early aughts--like those chainmail bandana tops? Not sure about those.

We could see front row guest Leigh Lezark in a lot of the more sophisticated pieces. And Selena Gomez, we guess. But for some reason we still want her to dress more sweet and girly. Oh well.

Another amusing feature of the show that reflected the house's pop culture influence was Drake's song "Versace," which played throughout the finale (the rest of the show featured Nine Inch Nails). It was a fun wink from the brand that seems to be becoming more and more self-aware.
