Is Kate Moss over modeling?
The possessor of fashion’s most in-demand and ubiquitous face has been trying her hand at a few of the industry’s more behind-the-scenes professions.
She’s already begun working with Topshop on designing another capsule collection for the retailer and next she’ll try her hand at styling. The supe has joined Vogue UK as a contributing fashion editor.
She’ll style fashion editorials with her choice of models and photographers, according to WWD. Her first fashion story will appear in an upcoming spring issue.
Moss isn’t the first supermodel to nab an editorial role at a major magazine. Naomi Campbell joined Interview (the German and Russian editions) as an editor-at-large in 2011. And while oddly non-fashion-related, Coco Rocha recently became a contributing editor at PC Mag.
At this point, they may as well rename Vogue UK Kate Moss Magazine. Moss typically covers the glossy at least one per year (she’s covered 33 issues in all) and now she’s even going to be involved in the editorials she’s not in.
In all seriousness, though, Moss has a lot of experience in the biz as well as an innate sense of style. We’re excited to see what she cooks up.
