New Subscription Service Sexy Box Aims to Ramp Up Customers' Bedroom Style

It seems like we hear about a new e-commerce subscription service every week--so at this point in the game, it takes something a little more scandalous to catch our attention. Enter Sexy Box! Yes, Sexy Box. Go ahead, try to saying it without laughing. (I personally cannot.)

Unlike most other subscription services, which might send subscribers fresh razor blades or little eye cream samples, Sexy Box (hehehehehe) sends its subscribers a very little something to spice up their bedroom situation.

For $29 a month, customers receive one different article of "boutique quality" lingerie every 30 days--obviously quite a bit cheaper than what you'd probably be paying for a sheer negligee at, say, Victoria's Secret. The website has pictures of previous send outs, which range from classy to kinky to super kitschy: April's lacy corset looks totally doable (in more ways than one heheheeheehe--sorry), whereas September's sexy back-to-school girl is cause enough to break out the Purell.

My first Sexy Box delivery contained the erm... item pictured above, left, and a note explaining that my new getup "might even reveal some of [my] unknown basic instincts!" So far, the only thing that's been revealed is the fact that I have no instincts whatsoever when it comes to trying on anything more complex than your standard bra and undies. No word on whether my box is any sexier now than it was before (am I even allowed to say that?)--but I'm not ruling it out just yet.
