Tyler's Tennis-Inspired Dress

With the exception of a brief period in 2004 when I was obsessed with dressing like Lauren Conrad, Lacoste is not really in my wheelhouse.

A Brief Interlude: My boyfriend once convinced me it would be super fun to play tennis together, despite my adamant protests. You see, I am very, very bad at sports that involve hand-eye coordination. Still, off we went to buy rackets and fuzzy green balls.

We played one "game"--if you can even call it that--and my boyfriend just said, "Oh. You weren't kidding about being really bad at this."

No, I wasn't.

What I am good at is liking things that I can't afford--like Valentino dresses. Which is precisely what the lace collar on this polo dress reminds me of. So while I won't be hitting any balls in this one (those rackets ended up at Goodwill) I will be wearing it just about everywhere else--dressing it down with sneaks or dressing it up with heels.

Plus, I don't really care if she's bored of it all--I really, really love Alexa Chung's style, and this seems like something she might wear.
