Your first — and perhaps last — opportunity to see what affordable L’Wren Scott clothes look like is here.
The stylist-slash-designer’s first ever mass collaboration for Banana Republic is set to hit stores December 5, and the lookbook appears to have leaked online.
The verdict? Hard to say. It’s very L’Wren Scott — the silhouettes are uncomplicated and sophisticated, and the colors and patterns are bold without being too kooky. It’s casual luxe with a rock ‘n roll edge. Still, what makes something L’Wren Scott — at least according to people who wear it — is the perfect tailoring and ultra-flattering cuts. Those are qualities we won’t be able to judge until we see the clothes in person. At the very least, the collection offers some viable holiday party options, from sequined cardigans to a (presumably faux) fur cropped jacket and a green brocade skirt suit. Prices range from $39.50 to $165 for apparel, and $39.50 to $198 for accessories.
