Pantene is still making waves with its #ShineStrong campaign -- the new worldwide rollout of its Philippines-originating ad that tackles gender labeling and quickly went viral. But that doesn't mean it isn't going the usual perfectly-tressed celebrity route this season, as well.
Gisele Bündchen is the latest celebrity to join the ranks of Pantene spokeswomen -- which also include Eva Mendes and Zooey Deschanel -- confirming that the beauty brand really understands which stars are the best at giving us hair jealousy. What Deschanel does for bangs, Bündchen does for beachy waves and natural-looking ombré. “I feel my hair has been through it all -- from being styled more than ten times in one day to enjoying the sun and surf with my children -- and Pantene has helped to keep it healthy with every wash, no matter what the day may bring,” said Bündchen, who is dubbed an ambassador for the brand.
It's pretty shocking that this is her first hair campaign in North America. Though, it's about her millionth campaign this year: In 2013, she's lent her image to H&M, BLK DNM, Louis Vuitton and Chanel, on top of her overseas contracts with brands, including Pantene -- she's been working with them in her native Brazil for years.
It's also a sign that she's crossed that line from model to celebrity (Pantene campaign stars tend towards the latter). Which means we see only more campaigns -- and money -- for Bundchen in 2014.
