Michelle Obama Wears Emerald Green Marchesa, Big Hair to Kennedy Center Honors

Radiant Orchid, Pantone's newly decreed color of 2014, may be the hue on everyone's mind ATM -- but let's not forget about this year's pick, Emerald Green, just yet. Michelle Obama clearly hasn't.

Radiant Orchid, Pantone's newly decreed color of 2014, may be the hue on everyone's mind ATM -- but let's not forget about this year's pick, Emerald Green, just yet. Michelle Obama clearly hasn't.

For Sunday's Kennedy Center Honors Gala (which this year honored entertainers Billy Joel, Herbie Hancock, Shirley MacLaine and more), Mrs. Obama chose a stunning Grecian-style, silk chiffon Marchesa gown in the brilliant jewel tone. The hand-draped dress had a fitted bodice and off-the-shoulder straps, just in case you needed reminding that your arms will never be as toned and perfect as the First Lady's. EVER.

The FLOTUS accessorized with a scalloped diamond choker, ultra sparkly mini box clutch, and of course, the super-smiley President on her arm (too much awww to handle). She topped off the glam look with a super-voluminous, center-parted 'do that was a little too Oprah for our taste if we're being entirely honest -- but considering she's generally on a Mary Poppins level of perfection, we'll let it slide this time. And anyway, the higher the hair, the closer to Beyoncé, right?
