Reports to Senior Marketing Manager-Activewear

Overview The Editorial Manager will develop and lead the content strategies for UO’s dual gender active wear division. This person is a natural storyteller who will establish the brand voice, create content calendars, publish all content, and build a community of dedicated and loyal followers. The ideal candidate is an experienced copywriter, has previous web publishing experience, and leads an active lifestyle.

Responsibilities • Establish brand voice and copy guidelines • Create editorial blog calendar: source and write unique stories and publish all content • Establish long-term content process • Leverage brand ambassador program for unique content. Support and cover brand ambassador events and programs • Build content stories around launch markets, ambassadors and events • Establish content strategy tied to seasonal marketing campaigns • Write all marketing copy assets, including headlines and email messages • Assist with PR headlines and concepts. • Assist with product copywriter when needed • Work closely with the Social Media Manager to maintain consistent brand message and voice. Understanding of digital metrics to determine what content has maximum impact

Qualifications • 5 + Years in Content Development or related role. Retail brand experience is helpful. • Demonstrate a passion for and understanding of the Urban Outfitters brand, customer, and product • Excellent writing, interviewing and copy editing skills • Experience growing an audience of dedicated readers and knowing what content best serves them • Exceptional process management and organization skills • Relevant contacts within the active industry • Ability to identify trends: Have finger on the pulse of relevant active lifestyle trends, fashion and culture • Ability to create and manage a network of content contributors at low cost who assist in growing the blog’s visibility • Ability to work effectively with marketing, buying, digital and technical teams

Education Bachelor’s Degree in English or a related field.

Location Philadelphia, PA

Travel Some travel required.
