Sounds like the IMG team did something to keep Herrera on board, following her comments that things had "gotten too commercial, too much like a trade show.”

Lately, it feels like Lincoln Center is bleeding out many of the major designers that once anchored Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at the tents each season. Michael Kors, Diane von Furstenberg, and Vera Wang have each reportedly made a venue change for the upcoming Fall 2014 shows.

But despite -- or, as it may turn out, because of -- her expressed frustrations with the venue, one designer has decided to stay. Carolina Herrera will show in her standard time slot at the tents, Feb. 10 at 10 AM.

"For me, the runway show is about the clothes first and foremost," the designer said in a statement. "And sharing the collection with a broad global audience both in person and digitally is my secondary priority."

It sounds like Lincoln Center paid attention last December when the designer said that it had "gotten too commercial, too much like a trade show.” And they didn't want to lose another of the more prominent designers still showing there.

"The IMG Fashion team has heard my concerns and is committed to making Lincoln Center the right environment to show my new collection in February," Herrera said.

Alright, then.
