Chanel Proves It's a Fashion Machine in New Video

Have you ever wondered how it's humanly possible for Karl Lagerfeld and his team at Chanel to design four, 80+ look collections a year, not including couture? Well, the French label's just-released Pre-Spring 2014 film might provide us with an answer.

Have you ever wondered how it's humanly possible for Karl Lagerfeld and his team at Chanel to design four, 80+ look collections a year, not including couture? Well, the French label's just-released Pre-Spring 2014 film might provide us with an answer: It's a well-oiled machine. Literally.

In the clip, Lagerfeld is the head of a Tim Burton-esque laboratory that houses the namesake Fashion Machine. Models like Ming Xi, Lindsey Wixson, Soo Joo Park and Jamie Bochert enter the double C-branded contraption bare-faced and wearing drab lab coats, but exit in a cloud of smoke with a very glamourous makeover -- we're talking Chanel's classic tweeds, pearls and chain strap bags. If only it were that easy to look like a supermodel.

Watch the short film above, and join us in hoping that one of these magic machines will one day appear at a Chanel location near you.
