It looks like Club Monaco is set for a British expansion. After opening its first store on Westbourne Grove in August, the brand will open a second store — its flagship — at 32-33 Sloane Square in London this fall, the owner of the building, Cadogan, tells Fashionista.
The news was first reported on UK real estate site CoStar Group. A spokesperson for Club Monaco would not confirm nor deny the report, only saying, “We have no details on this.”
Club Monaco is taking over the 4,000-sq. foot corner unit at 32-33 Sloane Square, formerly occupied by menswear shop Gieves & Hawkes. (You can have a look courtesy of Google Street View below). The store will carry both men’s and womenswear, both of which have been getting a gradual revamp over the past couple of years.
The Ralph Lauren-owned brand will have some fashionable neighbors further up Sloane Street, including Tom Ford, Chanel, Prada, Rag & Bone and Kate Spade. It currently operates more than 140 retail locations across the U.S., Canada, Sweden, Hong Kong, Shanghai and, of course, London.
Update: This story was updated to include confirmation from Cadogan.
