The signs were all there -- Miley wearing Marc Jacobs to both the Met Ball and the Fashion Group International's Night of Stars (where she presented the designer with an award), posing nude for one of Jacobs' 'Love the Skin Your In' t-shirts and even crediting Jacobs with her fashion-y new image: "I work a lot with Marc Jacobs," she told Rankin’s Hunger magazine in the fall. "He kind of brought me into fashion like when I was 16, that was when I started being around him and just learning from him."
And just two days ago, she posted a selfie on Twitter while wearing a Marc by Marc marriage equality tee.
And now the secret's out: Cyrus is the star of Jacobs' Spring 2014 ad campaign. Here's the first image, which the eagle-eyed folks over at Nylon spotted in the February glossies.
We think she looks cool and teen-angsty. What do you think of Jacobs' pouty new face?
Update: Stylist and EIC of Love (the latest issue of which is covered by Cyrus) Katie Grand confirmed via Instagram that she styled the campaign and David Sims shot it. We're fairly certain this is the first Marc Jacobs print campaign shot by someone other than Juergen Teller, but we've reached out to Marc Jacobs for confirmation.
Update 2: Cyrus posted a second Marc Jacobs campaign image Wednesday evening, below.
