Dior has become so prevalent a part of Jennifer Lawrence’s public image that it’s difficult to disassociate her own style from the French couture house. When we’re not seeing her on a red carpet in one of Raf Simons’ strapless gowns, we’re seeing her face in one of the company’s ad campaigns. And it sounds like this relationship is far from its end. A well-placed source tells Page Six that Lawrence has signed on for three more years with Dior in a lucrative deal worth between $15 and $20 million. (A rep for Dior did not respond to our request for comment.)
It makes sense: Lawrence’s star power hasn’t dulled a bit since her relationship with the brand began about a year ago. It seems every movie she does is either a box office success or an awards season hit. And even if there aren’t any movies of hers to talk about, there are always haircuts to keep her in the public eye. Personality-wise, she’s one of the most well-liked A-listers in Hollywood — what brand wouldn’t want to have her on contract? The rumored contract also means hers will have lasted quite a bit longer than Mila Kunis, who starred in only two rounds of Miss Dior ads.
As good of a fit as she is for the brand, we admit the strapless fitted bodice silhouettes Dior keeps putting JLaw in are getting a little old. It might be nice to see her experiment with other designers. That said, there were some gorgeous contenders in the new Dior Couture collection, only a few of which were strapless. As long as she stays away from the mullet hems, we’re sure she’ll remain a red carpet best-dressed shoe-in.
