Production/Design Internship In Established High-End Fashion House (NYC)

An established high-end fashion house emphasizing on couture evening wear and bridal gowns is seeking an upbeat, positive attitude, detailed oriented, and organized person for a nonpaid internship. The ideal candidate must be able to work quickly, efficiently in a fast paced environment, and take direction well. The candidate will work directly with the design/production team to gain experience in the fashion industry. The candidate will also view the design process of clothes, from inspiration and concept to the actual production. This position has potential to become a full-time hire.

Duties: • Sourcing fabric, trims, notions, etc. • Assist the design and production team with daily errands and runs • Organize and prep the showroom for daily meetings • Attend and assist in weekly fit meetings • Help sort fabrics, garments, and products, organize the clothing archives, and maintain fabric library • Assist with daily operations in our showroom (answering calls, internet research, organizing, etc.) • Help sales team with look books and press packets • Assist with fashion show and photo shoot preparations

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel is a must Knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop a plus but not a requirement

Interns will be compensated with $15/day for travel and lunch Work schedule will be finalized at time of hire.
