Stephanie's Furry Oversized Clutch

I don't care if this bag is past-season -- I'm still craving a textured pouch, dammit.

This clutch is not new. We know this. It was part of the standout fall accessories collection from 3.1 Phillip Lim. And while some people are concerned about being seen with something that is so identifiably last season -- either a specific item or a general trend, such as furry bags -- I am not one such individual.

Mostly because, if I really like something, I'm going to go for it, regardless of what people think. And one could even argue that, if you're still craving something, even after it's been photographed on countless editors and bloggers, then you and said item are probably in it for the long haul. It won't be relegated to the back of the closet with a dismissive "meh" after the initial buzz has worn off.

And, dammit, I'm proud to say: I am still loving a textured pouch. Specifically this one, mostly because of the olive, which is much less expected than black and almost just as versatile. It's also a good choice because it's only half shearling, which cuts down on the chance that you'll look like you're carrying a small shaggy animal. Plus, it has a strap to loop your hand through so you don't always have to carry it in the crook of your arm. And...it's on SALE -- maybe I should've put that little nugget at the top of this paragraph.

Shearling clutch, $390, available at 3.1 Phillip Lim.
