These Frye boots were gifted to me one Christmas many moons ago. You might wonder why a Florida resident would ask for a pair of boots. Well, let me tell you.
I originally wanted a pair of boots like these because I saw Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco wear a similar style performing on stage. I know. Listen — I really, really loved Panic! at the Disco (and still do, so stick it in your craw!) and I should probably do serious some serious self-searching as to why I constantly dress like the dudes I’m into, but these are the facts about these boots as they stand.
Anyway, so I’ve had these exact boots since Christmas of 2006, which in shoe years is a really long effing time. They’ve lasted through several winters — some of them were even snowy — and helped me navigate the wet floors of a granite fabrication shop I spent a year working in (yes, that’s a thing I did). The brown leather has developed a wonderful patina from use, and the soles are still holding on, though I’ve worn down the tread. So really, my pop punk obsession that lasted through much of college paid off, in the form of these wonderful, sturdy boots.
In conclusion, 1) Brendon Urie recently got married to a super pretty Katy Perry lookalike and it made me sad, and 2) you should consider investing in a pair of these boots.
