For her first editorial assignment, Moss styled Daria Werbowy in a punk-themed shoot, lensed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The story — entitled “Cause Célèbre” — is inspired by the influential ’70s Detroit rock band Destroy All Monsters, specifically its lead singer, Niagara. The spread is 12 photos long, and Vogue UK has released one teaser image this morning via WWD (seen above).
In her editor’s letter, Vogue UK’s Editor in Chief Alexandra Schulman addresses Moss’s new role and insists that the supermodel was very hands-on, saying, “From gathering the initial moodboard to talking me through the rail of clothes in the Vogue fashion room and adjusting the accessories on Daria Werbowy, Kate took on the complete role of fashion editor.” But, it didn’t stop there. Schulman slips in, “Perhaps not every editor takes her model out partying on the first night of the shoot!” Now that’s the Moss we know and love.
