Menswear Dog Wants You to Help Fund His New Canine Clothing Line

If you've ever found yourself too embarrassed to be seen out in public with your underdressed furry companion, here's some terrific news! The trio behind the wildly popular Tumblr Menswear Dog -- husband and wife Dave Fung and Yena Kim, along with pup Bodhi -- are launching a brand new menswear-inspired fashion line for canines.

Until this point, CEO Bodhi, a dapper 4-year-old Shiba Inu, had found fame modeling menswear made for, well, actual men. But the wares in MWD's line, which Fung and Kim are currently attempting to fund through crowdsourcing site Indigogo, are tailor-made for pups. Among the first pieces in the collection are a bright blue, cotton-twill blend blazer, a collared shirt bib and an adjustable bow tie that -- score! -- also fits homo sapiens. It's all very sharp, if a little Pee Wee Herman.

Perhaps more amusing than the collection itself are the "perks" available to those who donate towards the $20K goal: People (and their pup pals) who give $300 score a Central Park playdate with Bodhi, plus some dog treats. Forking over $500 gets you the doggie playdate, plus the full MWD outfit, a signed poster (huh? how?), a postcard and a graphic MWD tee... which pretty much sounds like a dream come true if you ask us.

And like every good fashion label, there's also an element of giving back. For every Menswear Dog outfit sold, the line has partnered with NYC-based non-profit The Rescue Paw Foundation to help support a shelter animal for a month. Watch MWD Collection's campaign video below.
