For the second season running -- remember the spring 2014 step team? -- Rick Owens made diverse casting a huge part of his runway show in Paris. The designer presented his fall 2014 collection on Thursday afternoon, and in addition to a handful of models like Hanne Gaby Odiele and Alana Zimmer, Owens hired "real" women (read: ladies of all ages, races and sizes) to walk in his show.

There were women well below the standard model stature of five feet 10 inches, as well as those who were at least a decade older than your typical runway model -- although, more mature models are having a moment. Dressed in the designer's signature draped sheaths, cape-like outerwear and leather knee-high sneakers, Owens once again proves that you don't have to be a model to look like one.
