Ever since 21-year-old Cara Delevingne exploded onto the modeling scene in 2011, there have been comparisons to fellow British model Kate Moss. Both women have a bit of a wild streak (and an affinity for rock stars), and even Karl Lagerfeld was recently quoted in The Sunday Times saying, "Girls admire [Delevingne] like they used to Kate Moss. They all want to be as free as her."
While the two have partied together, have been featured on parallel covers for Love magazine and have walked in the same fashion show, they've never actually shared an editorial or campaign -- until now.
Thanks to Instagram (and later, Burberry's PR), we learned Wednesday that Moss and Delevingne will co-star in an upcoming Burberry ad, shot by Mario Testino, for an as-yet-unnamed fragrance. The campaign will be released later this year. The models have both been featured in Burberry campaigns in the past, over a decade apart: Moss's first campaign for the British brand was in 1999, while Delevingne's was in 2010.
While the fall ad campaigns are not due for quite some time, we have a hunch that this one might be the runaway favorite. How cute and happy do they look in their twin trench coats?
