In the aftermath of some bad press and subsequent CEO change, athletic gear chain Lululemon is continuing to push its product forward. On Monday, the label teased a new line called &go on its Twitter page, and the six-piece, more fashion-forward range arrived in its online shop on Tuesday.
Based on the principle of easy layering (to avoid toting an overstuffed gym bag all day) and focused on pieces that can be worn both in and out of the gym, &go is in line with the current booming trend of high-end, double-duty exercise gear. The new collection features tank tops with fabric that flares out like a peplum at the waist, shorts and pants made of a shiny material that's meant to look like leather and silky tanks with open backs that can easily be slipped over a sports bra -- or worn to a bar right after your Pilates class.
While the product descriptions promise breathable, water-resistant fabrics that are both "bike and boardroom friendly" and the silhouettes are very cute, we're not sure we'd want to stay in clothes we've worked out in for an entire day, or as Lululemon puts it, "sweat it and forget it."
Prices from the new line range from $54 for a top to $198 for a dress (which is already sold out online), and you can shop the full collection at Lululemon's website.
