Good news, folks: Starting in September, you will be able to smell like Pharrell.
On Wednesday morning, cult-favorite Japanese label Comme des Garçons announced that it will release an exclusive, unisex fragrance with Pharrell Williams in the fall of 2014. The scent will be called G I R L -- which is also the name of the artist's latest studio album -- and while it's Pharrell's first fragrance, he's a seasoned pro when it comes to fashion and product design: He's the founder of the labels Billionaire Boys Club and ICECREAM, has collaborated with Uniqlo and Moncler, and has designed a range of accessories for Louis Vuitton.
"As one of my favorite designers once said, ‘Comme des Garçons is your favorite designers' favorite designer... the top of the top, the best of the best,’” Pharrell said in a press release. “I am so honored to be working with Comme des Garçons and cherish the education that I've experienced in this collaboration." The artist has name-dropped the brand in his lyrics on a number of occasions -- twice very recently, in tracks by Future and Major Lazer -- so it's probably safe to say that he's very excited about this collaboration.
Details on the fragrance are still scarce, but if it's successful, we're hoping that he utilizes the name of the classic N.E.R.D record "Everyone Nose" for his second scent.
