Pharrell Williams Dons Tuxedo Shorts, Vivienne Westwood Hat at Oscars

Pharrell Williams, riding high on the interest generated by his Vivienne Westwood hat, decided to pull out another conversation starter at the 2014 Academy Awards: tuxedo shorts, worn with an otherwise traditional tux setup (shirt, bow tie, jacket, etc.), all by Lanvin.

Those who were disappointed that Williams didn't wear another Westwood hat on the red carpet didn't have to wait long to see it -- he donned a black version for his stage performance of "Happy" early in the ceremony (with some awesome, sparkly red sneaks).

We can only hope Williams is set to throw on some more of those dazzling pants he wore at the Brit Awards later in the evening.

Oh and the original Westwood hat Pharrell wore to the Grammys? That was bought for more than $40,000 on eBay by Arby's, the fast food chain revealed on Twitter Sunday evening:
