This will certainly be in the running for cutest designer collaboration of the year: GapKids is teaming up with both Kate Spade and Jack Spade for collections that are set to bow this holiday season.

Gap has a history of tapping big-name fashion designers for kids' collections -- namely Diane von Furstenberg and Stella McCartney -- which have yielded some very adorable results. Neither Kate Spade New York nor Jack Spade has ever branched into childrenswear, but we imagine both brands' signature aesthetics -- lots of bright colors and clever, feminine details for Kate, and classic, preppy staples for Jack -- will translate nicely to smaller sizing.

If you have a little one in your life (or you personally enjoy the thrill of trying to squeeze into clothing for kids) look for the collaboration online and in GapKids stores in select countries (including the U.S.) in November. We've got our fingers crossed for a mini version of the Chinese food container bag that Kate Spade showed for fall.
