When Kate Spade showed its spring collection in September, Nora was instantly obsessed with an airy pink dress with a black leather bow halter, above left.
She apparently wasn't the only one. Online retailer Romwe has produced a remarkably similar dress in the same shade of pink with the same halter detail.
The difference between the two is subtle, but important: While the Kate Spade dress is soft and floaty, the Romwe copy is weirdly pleated and falls in two distinct layers. It's the difference between a sophisticated spring dress for adults and one fit for a high school dance.
Still, it's pretty obvious in a side by side comparison where Romwe found inspiration. The Romwe version is $47.99; Kate Spade's version clocks in at $698 and is available at the brand's Madison Avenue flagship.
