If you're a parent looking for chic, stylish clothes for your kids, great news: Vince is launching a line of childrenswear, and it's adorable.
The company worked closely with licensing partners Tawil Associates on getting the feel and look of the line just right.
"We are thrilled to expand Vince into childrenswear, and offer our customers cool kids clothes that embody the Vince brand DNA," CEO Jill Granoff says in a release. "Tawil has done a great job translating Vince ready-to-wear to the world of kids and we are delighted to take this next step forward as we evolve Vince into being a global lifestyle brand.”
Rebecca Damavandi, Group President of Global Business Development says the line came about thanks to high customer and retailer demand. It marks the second time the company has worked with a licensing partner; the first was with Brown Shoe for its -- you guessed it -- shoe line.
The collection has already completely sold out to retailers, and it's not hard to see why: The pieces are essentially tinier versions of the luxe sportswear Vince already provides for adults. There's tiny cashmere hoodies, leather pants and fur vests -- faux, of course, these are kids we're talking about -- and slim-legged pants. While many of the pieces come in classic colorways like gray and black, there are injections of fuchsia, imperial purple, raspberry and horizon blue to brighten things up.
The childrenswear line launches with most major retailers, including Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom, this June, with prices ranging from $24 for tanks to $598 for the Scuba Leather Jacket for girls and $34 for tees to $398 for jackets on the boys' side. The pieces are sized for kids ages 4 to 14 -- so sorry, babies, you'll just have to wait your turn.
