There may never be a time when Marilyn Monroe isn't a fashion inspiration considering how often she pops up in collections and ad campaigns.

The latest of the Monroe-inspired? Carine Roitfeld's third amfAR fashion show. Happening May 22, WWD reports that Roitfield will dedicate this year's runway to the classic star.

In the past, Roitfeld has shown black and gold themed runways. For her third year, in honor of Monroe, she'll paint the runway red thanks to custom designs from Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, and Marc Jacobs, among others.

The color has a second meaning as well: Red ribbons symbolize the fight against AIDS, a battle with which amfAR has been deeply involved.

The appropriately nostalgic songstress Lana del Rey will also be on hand to perform at the gala alongside Aloe Blacc.
