As you may recall, Marc Jacobs pulled out the big guns for his spring 2014 ad campaign, which starred the one and only Miley Cyrus in a shipwreck-like scenario, shot by David Sims.

For fall, Jacobs scaled back — way back — and opted for an austere shoot starring Julia Nobis and Waleska Gorczevski, who pose like mannequins wearing the same blunt wigs that Jacobs's models wore down the runway. Interestingly enough, Sims shot this season's campaign as well — he replaced Jacobs's go-to photographer Juergen Teller last season because he reportedly did not want to shoot Cyrus.

We're very into the minimalism of this season's ads, but we're a little surprised how toned down it is, considering Jacobs's dreamy fall collection is filled with ombré fur and sparkly separates that cost upwards of $13,000

What are your first impressions of the campaign?
