Steven Meisel is slated to shoot this year's Pirelli calendar — and, somewhat shockingly, it will be the first time that he has photographed it. No details about the theme of the shoot have been released yet, but given Meisel's rolodex of model and designer pals and his flare for the bold and unexpected, we're anticipating big things. {Telegraph}

Beauty companies are looking East — to the Middle East, that is — when developing products that cater to new markets. The German personal care company Henkel has developed a range of haircare products that specifically address issues caused by wearing head scarves, while P&G and Nivea are pushing skin lightening creams and body lotions with that audience in mind. {WSJ}

Timed to coincide with her debut as Princess Aurora in Maleficent, Elle Fanning is Teen Vogue's latest, stunning cover girl. EIC Amy Astley conducted the cover story interview herself, and in it she dishes about wanting boys to like her "weird style," her Barbie calendar, and her Chanel box filled with gum wrappers.  {Teen Vogue}
