Socialite Patrizia Reggiani may have hired a hit man to kill her husband, Gucci heir Maurizio Gucci, but that didn't mean she wanted to cut all ties to the Italian luxury house. She told an Italian newspaper that after she finishes up her 16-year jail sentence (for hiring said hit man), “I dream of returning to Gucci. I still feel like a Gucci — in fact, the most Gucci of all.” Reggiani, who has been allowed out on day release, is often seen with a yellow macaw on her shoulder. Burberry is more well-known for its trench coats than anything else, and since the brand is working on building its beauty business, it's only natural that it would try to meld the two. The new fragrance My Burberry is directly inspired by the iconic trench, and appropriately smells like rain. {WWD, subscription required}

V  magazine and Ford Models' annual model search — which you can still enter — has an exciting new layer to it this year. Karl Lagerfeld has signed on to photograph the finalists for a spread in V, and the winner will get to walk for both Fendi and Chanel this upcoming fashion month. Pretty major. {V}
