Cara Delevingne is already featured in quite a few big-name fall 2014 ads — Mulberry, Balmain and Chanel among them — but in her latest campaign, she’s truly the star. British brand Topshop has named the model-slash-actress as the fall face of the label, with a 12-image campaign that not only highlights the high street retailer's best autumn pieces, but also puts the 21-year-old's quirky personality front and center.
The images were shot in London by Alasdair McLellan and styled by Kate Phelan, Topshop's creative director. Delevingne has partnered with the brand before: She appeared in a Kate Moss for Topshop video back in 2010, and she frequently walks the Topshop Unique runway during London Fashion Week. In fact, she was given the honor of live-streaming her runway walk with a Google-cam (which was hidden in a handbag) when Topshop partnered with Google for the fall 2013 show.
Topshop campaigns have helped to launch the careers of some of today’s most famous models (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss and Lily Donaldson have all posed for the brand) but Delevingne’s campaign is extra special as it marks the first time that only one model is featured in the series of advertisements.
This particular shoot was likely special to Delevingne for many reasons, but the most important one of them all was that it was on set where she met her beloved pet bunny, Cecil, who was originally purchased as a prop. You can watch their love blossom in the video above, and click through the gallery below for the full campaign.
