Under its new owner, Authentic Brands Group, Juicy Couture has been laying down major plans for expansion. Though many of its existing stores are closing, the longtime maker of velour jumpsuits is also opening new ones, including new concepts dedicated to childrenswear and loungwear.

On Tuesday, Authentic Brands Group also further outlined Juicy Couture's ambitions abroad. The company announced that it would be continuing its partnership with ImagineX Group, an Asian retail, brand management and distribution company, in order to further expand Juicy Couture's footprint in the market.

Juicy Couture already works with ImagineX; the company acquired management and distribution rights in 2006, and has since opened some 80 branded locations across Asia. Through this partnership, the brand reports "high double-digit growth year on year" in the Chinese market.

The franchise partnership is slated to last for 10 years, with options to extend for another 10. This new phase of the partnership will focus on brand extensions, like the Juicy Couture Black Label and a shoe partnership with Steve Madden slated to launch in 2015, as well as the opening of another 40 key locations.
