Turns out that the summer polar vortex is real, but it's OK — there's a pretty top for that.

The bad news: Summer is winding down. The good news: There's a really cute blouse to help you transition into fall.

After years of layering light sweaters and hoodies over my summery tops, I finally found a more practical solution to cold summer nights and hot fall days: peasant blouses. They're light enough to wear in the hot sun, but warm enough to withstand "cold" summer temperatures. ("Cold" being about 65 degrees.) Plus, there's something truly pleasant about wearing long sleeves in the sun and not sweating your brains out.

If the whole hippie vibe isn't your scene, don't panic. A peasant blouse looks just as good with black jeans and minimalist boots as it does with a crochet maxi skirt at Coachella. At the moment, I'm obsessing over this semi-sheer top from Princess Vera Wang, which, at only $25.99, is a major steal.
