In the wake of sexual misconduct accusations, many companies -- including H&M and American Vogue -- have scrambled to distance themselves from beleaguered photographer Terry Richardson.

And then there's Playboy, which has tapped Richardson for a 100-page, ahem, spread in an upcoming issue. Jezebel has posted images (all NSFW, duh) which appear in the July/August 2014 issue; Playboy confirms to Fashionista these images are part of the bigger feature, now slated to run in the February 2015 issue.

Obviously, there's perhaps no client that makes more sense for Richardson than Playboy. It's interesting to note, however, that according to a post on Terry World, the spread was intended to run in the September issue. Playboy, however, says that it has been pushed back to February. The mag tells Jezebel that it is just trying to avoid "competing with ourselves on the newsstands," since it has other major features coming out around that time.

Playboy has given Fashionista the following comment:

"Terry Richardson’s latest collaboration with Playboy is a 100-page special edition of the magazine titled California Dreamin’ in which he photographed four Playmates in a variety of iconic California locations from Joshua Tree to the Chateau Marmont. This special edition is set to hit newsstands around Valentine’s Day 2015. Playboy’s July/August 2014 issue (on newsstands now) features a 6-page preview of California Dreamin’, and the magazine plans to run additional previews of California Dreamin’ in its December 2014 and January/February 2015 issues."
