I've long been suspicious of the single earring trend, but lately it's started to appeal to me. Until last week, however, I had never seen an earring (or a pair) that I had wanted to wear solo.

I spotted this pair of earrings at a KCD-hosted cocktail last week, and located them on Shopbop a few hours later. They (or I should say "it," since I am planning to only wear one) is less statement-y than Dior's Tribal earrings – and certainly less attention-grabbing than the long, spangled confections Céline showed on its fall 2014 runway – but still has the same simple, sculptural appeal as Dior's. In other words, it's subtle, but not too subtle. And I won't mind wearing them as a pair when I come to my senses about this single earring thing.

At $150, they're a little more than I want to spend on, well, anything right now ... so does anyone want to go halfsies with me?

Fallon "Shalmon Ball" earrings, $150, available at Shopbop.
