The buzzy, minimalist line is expanding in many ways this season.

There's been a lot of talk about the minimalist direction that many top fashion labels are moving in, and Protagonist — a brand dedicated to creating a well-edited collection of wardrobe essentials each season — is one of our new favorites. Kate Wendelborn launched Protagonist last year exclusively at New York City boutique The Line (which her sister Morgan co-owns along with Vanessa Traina Snow), and it's growing steadily. For fall, the label will re-launch its website, and for the first time, Wendelborn shot an ad campaign to go along with the collection.

Another first for the brand: Protagonist will be sold outside of The Line for the first time this fall -- shoppers will be able to find the refined staples at Barneys, Forty Five Ten in Dallas and The Webster in Miami. Take a look at the campaign above — this is minimalism at its finest.
