Paintbox, a very chic and modern beauty studio in the heart of Soho on Crosby Street, is seeking an Assistant Studio Manager. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated ASSISTANT MANAGER to assist the Studio Manager in overseeing all operations at the studio, employee relations and customer experience, recruit and manage 20+ employees. We're looking for someone with great taste, a lovely and warm demeanor, who is excited about introducing this brand to the neighborhood.
Candidates should have 1-3 years experience in spa/salon, hospitality, beauty or retail industries at an Assistant Manager or Manager level and have an entrepreneurial spirit. The space is very cool and modern yet warm and inviting. The Assistant Manager will be working with some of the top artists in the industry, creating a first-of-its-kind, elevated service experience. It's an exciting opportunity to help craft a new brand with a great team.
Main Assistant Manager responsibilities: * Maintain positive relations by keeping open lines of communication with team. * Ensure adherence to local licensing board rules and regulations. * Interview, select, and on-board talent for the team. * Ensure consistent and timely opening and closing of the studio. * Assist in the direction and supervision of employees. *Deliver top-notch services for our customers. * Keep employees motivated and working as a team, making sure each member of the staff understands company policies and guidelines. * Maintain and builds relationships with key brand partners and surrounding stores in Soho. * Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and human resources policies and procedures.
Experience qualifications: * A minimum 1-year management experience in spa/salon, retail, hospitality, wellness, or beauty industry *Bachelors degree * Strong organizational qualities and confidence, with sound communication and customer service skills. * Previous experience in recruiting, training, and motivating staff members. * Proven ability to foster a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie while achieving business goals. * Administrative and computer skills that support accurate and timely reporting, cash collection/reconciliation, payroll management, record keeping, and operation of POS System.
