Tuning in to the Balmain live stream on Thursday morning, we were totally impressed by the all-star cast walking the runway (Karlie! Rosie! Joan!), not to mention the Jenner-Kardashian-West bloc sitting front row.

But even amid the parade of designer Olivier Rousteing's famous friends, one particular white suit from the Spring 2015 collection caught fashion fans' eye... and not in a good way. Massive hat tip to VFiles, which Instagrammed a shot of the Balmain look side by side with a near-identical outfit from Alexander McQueen's spring 1997 collection for Givenchy Haute Couture:

In case anyone needs help spotting the similarities, we'll point to the loose-fitting pant, the bra-less styling and, you know, that very distinctive twisty cutout business in the front. VFiles diplomatically captioned the comparison: "Who wore it better? Oliver Rousteing for Balmain S/S 2015 vs Alexander McQueen for Givenchy Haute Couture S/S 1997."

For those interested in seeing the suit in its first incarnation, here's some truly magical runway footage from the Givenchy Haute Couture show, also featuring a '90s-era Naomi Campbell in all her smoldering glory. But, seriously, we'd love an answer to VFiles's question: Who do you think wore it better?
