The Account Coordinator is responsible for conducting press outreach and building media relationships in order to secure press coverage, sponsorship opportunities, award submissions and speaking engagements.

A fast-growing, dynamic New York-based Communications, PR, and Marketing Consulting firm seeks an Account Coordinator to work on a team serving lifestyle, technology, luxury automotive and travel and fashion online brands. The firm specializes in marketing and communications strategies across fashion, lifestyle, interior design, spirits, media and entertainment sectors, and is quickly expanding into other categories.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing and developing media lists
  • Conducting press outreach and building media relationships in order to secure press coverage, sponsorship opportunities, award submissions and speaking engagements
  • Work closely with direct report on status of activities
  • Proactive media monitoring and maintaining trackers of media and pending placements
  • Daily account management duties, including media send-outs, meeting planning, updating contact lists, developing recaps and agendas and maintaining subscriptions
  • Compiling monthly recap reports for clients
  • Research opportunities for clients for pitching purposes
  • Organize client-facing collateral such as clip reports
  • Contributing to story angle development, team brainstorms, writing pitches
  • Maintain and organize sample PR closet (if applicable)
  • Manage PR Assistant (when applicable)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in related field
  • Minimum one year of experience (applicable internships also acceptable) on either the agency or client side
  • Ability to manage and prioritize requests from multiple team members
  • Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of tools such as Fashion GPS, Lexis Nexis, Factiva, Cision or Bacons a plus
