A few years ago, when even the more conservative of fashion brands capitulated and began seating bloggers in their front rows and live streaming their shows on the web, Tom Ford got a fair amount of attention for being, as Charlotte Cowles once described it, "the Internet's last enemy in fashion." Until last year, he absolutely forbid the taking of any photographs at his shows, releasing only a smattering of images (besides those that leaked) to various print publications in the months before his clothes arrived in stores.
And now Ford is going a step further by live streaming his show for the first time. Rightster, which is servicing most of the live streams for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, is powering the experience, though we don't yet know how Ford plans to distribute it. A spokesperson for Ford confirmed that the show would be live streamed, but declined to share any further details until next week.
Tom Ford shows in London at 7pm BST (2pm EST) on Monday, September 15 -- so be sure to watch out for the live stream hosted on our site, where you can watch along with us.
