NYC-based jewelry brand WWAKE is seeking part time and full time interns beginning immediately for our very exciting Fall/Winter program. We are a fast-growing jewelry brand with a focus on contemporary fine jewelry and experimental costume jewelry. This will be an extremely hands-on experience with exposure to all aspects of running a small, progressive, jewelry company.

General responsibilities may include:
- Assisting in the launch of our upcoming e-commerce website
- Assisting in our social media and marketing plans
- Creating basic layouts for our upcoming marketing plans

Qualified Candidate must:
- Be a proactive, organized person and eagerness to learn
- Have attention to detail.
- Be passionate about contemporary art and design
- Be familiar with InDesign, Photoshop, and Google Drive -- This is a must!
- Be available for 2-5 days a week for a minimum of 3 months, though we are willing to accommodate varying schedules.

General responsibilities may include:
- Assisting designer fitting and detailing of new pieces (both metal and mixed media)
- Basic jewelry cleaning and shaping
- Experimenting with new materials and techniques for upcoming collections
- Researching and sourcing for special projects
- Acting as a liaison between WWAKE studio and our subcontractors
- Assisting in general studio tasks

Qualified Candidate must:
- Be a proactive, organized person and eagerness to learn
- Have attention to detail.
- Be passionate about contemporary art and design
- Love working with their hands and have a basic knowledge of jewelry assembly. Jewelry, Sculpture and textiles backgrounds a plus.
- Have familiarity with Word, Excel, InDesign, Photoshop, and Google Drive
- Be available for 2-5 days a week for a minimum of 3 months, though we are willing to accommodate varying schedules.

These internships are invaluable opportunities for someone who is interested in learning the ins and outs of a start-up jewelry business. Hands-on designers with an entrepreneurial edge will get the most out of this internship.

School credit is provided upon prior approval. Lunch & transportation for internship duties will be provided as well - this is an otherwise unpaid position.
