As I get "older," I start feeling like I need to invest in classic wardrobe staples that are decent quality and will carry over from season to season. One of such items on my list has been a navy peacoat. I wanted one that was not too long and not too short, actually warm, and not crazy expensive. And at a recent trip to New York's brand new & Other Stories, I found it.
I initially thought about returning it, only because it was fairly expensive (though really a good deal for the quality), and then I drank a mini bottle of champagne and decided it was actually a good idea. During a recent (very, very cold) trip to Moscow, I wore it every day and was impressed by how warm it was.
Short wool coat, $195, available at & Other Stories.
