Hey West Coasters. Fashionista’s “How to Make It in Fashion” conference is heading back to Los Angeles on November 14, 2014!
We’ll be setting up shop at the Line Hotel, where top stylists, costumers, and execs will be on hand to share their stories of making it in the industry. We've got to say, this session's speaker line up might be our best ever:
Designers and Executives: Band of Outsiders founder and creative director Scott Sternberg, Reformation founder and ceo Yael Afalo, BCBG Max Azria Chief Creative Officer Lubov Azria, Genetic Los Angeles founder Ali Fatourechi, Denim Refinery founder Janet Sung, Objects Without Meaning founder Alexandra Michelle, Everlane head of creative Alexandra Spunt, Industry Standard founder Nicole Najafi, Stitch Fix CEO Katrina Lake, and the Black Tux co-founder Patrick Coyne.
Costume Designers: Masters of Sex’s Ane Crabtree, The Mindy Project’s Salvador Perez, Revenge’s Jill Ohanneson, Pretty Little Liars’s Mandi Line
Stylists: Sally Lyndley (contributor to LOVE and Vogue, has also dressed Drew Barrymore and Victoria Beckham), Tara Swennen (clients include: Kristen Stewart, Kaley Cuoco Sweeting and Julie Bowen), Nicole Chavez (clients include: Rachel Bilson, Katherine Heigl, Kristen Bell) and Micaela Erlanger (clients include: Lupita Nyong'o, Michelle Dockery and Hillary Swank).
Along with a full day of career-focused panels and keynote speakers, we'll also be bringing back our popular mentoring sessions, where you'll get the chance to have a one-on-one conversation with someone who has "made it" in your chosen field. As always, our goal is that you leave the conference with useful advice that'll help you land that internship, job, or promotion. And to make some good connections, too. (We guarantee you won't be disappointed with the swag bag, either.) Click here to see the full schedule and reserve your ticket before they sell out! (Because they always do.) We can’t wait to see you there!
Special thanks to our presenting sponsor Tide and our mentor sponsor SCAD!
