No family took the zeitgeist by storm in 2014 like the Kardashian/Jenner/West clan. Between Kim and Kanye's Vogue cover and summertime wedding, Kendall Jenner's meteoric rise in the modeling industry, baby North's general cuteness and Kylie Jenner's teenage rebellion (in the form of some interesting beauty looks), there's plenty of pop culture gold to inspire you this Halloween. To make it even easier, we picked out some key pieces to help you channel your favorite member of #TheWorldsMostTalkedAboutFamily once October 31 rolls around.
Read on for our suggestions below, and although he's not listed here, we recommend going with Bruce Jenner if you're aiming for pure creepiness.
The beauty of dressing up as Kim Kardashian for Halloween is that you can look stylish while still looking a little skanky — and isn’t that one of the holiday’s main goals? Borrowing from Kardashian’s 2014 ensembles, sheer fabrics, skin-tight basics (think white tees or leotards) lots of cleavage and cut-outs are key, along with a pair of killer high heels. Here’s the best part: You can top the whole look with a luxurious blanket coat or an oversized leather jacket to keep warm, and it won’t take away from your costume one bit.
Fashion is of the highest importance to Mr. West, so even if he's wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans combo, there's bound to be something special about them. For instance, the tee will feature a v-neck so low that you can almost see his navel, or he'll incorporate some sort of statement outerwear. But, the key to the costume is this: DO NOT SMILE. Also: Bonus points for a completely bedazzled Margiela face mask.
There are so many iterations of baby Nori that we don't know where to start! There's CR Fashion Book North, all decked out in Chanel. There's Kidchella North, where the one-year-old dressed like a flower child at music festival to celebrate her birthday. Then there's Canadian tuxedo North -- that time her mom dressed her in head-to-toe denim, accessorized with a pair of mini Timberlands. But we'd suggest going for Fashion Week North: a leather skirt, lace top, Yeezus t-shirt and black lace-up boots would do the trick. Plus, you could certainly repurpose them once the holiday is over.
Jenner has done it all this year: fronted a Givenchy campaign, covered Love magazine, appeared in Vogue and walked every major runway from Marc Jacobs to Chanel. While it will be difficult to fake those long legs she's become famous for, going after one of her more distinctive runway looks will do the trick on Halloween. That, or her ridiculous outfit from this year's edition of Coachella.
The youngest member of the clan has really come into her own this year, starting plenty of trends in the process. She's experimented with blue hair, pointy nails and maybe with some lip injections (although this is pure speculation), but one thing is clear — she's no little girl anymore. If you're looking to channel this Jenner on Halloween, the rule of thumb should probably be that the more badass you look, the better.
